This Belutsch bridge carpet has 14 main- and sideborders in a fine geometric mixture. The center field is assembled with fields and prayer patterns. The wool is very delicate and hard knotted. For this reason the bridge is very durable and heard wearing.

Iran Gabbeh (Shooly) SST 6527

This Gabbeh carpet originates from south Persia and is made of 100% pure new wool. The pile is high and thus soft and very nice to walk on. It has no special motif, nevertheless, the little changes within the red color make the piece unique. It fits excellent to modern furniture.

Isfahan SSL 9589

The province of Isfahan is one of the oldest knotting regions of Iran. This bridge is made of wool and silk. The knot count is very high at 850.000 per square meter. With the asymmetric knotting it is possible to illustrate very fine and curved shapes. In addition, the fine threads of the wool, which are used for this, are called cork wool. The rug contains of fine floral elements and a circular center medallion.

Hereke SSL 11802

The Hereke rug is knotted with silk on a silk warp. The silk Hereke is one of the most valuable and finest silk rugs of the world. It contains approximately 1 million knots per square meter. The pattern of the rug symbolizes the prayer niche also called the Mirhab. In historical times only the sultan or higher officials could purchase or own this sort of bridge. The first Hereke were constructed in 1844 in the royal manufacture of the sultan. This rug represents one of the master pieces of its art.

Silk SSL 17250

This is a very fine silk bridge is knotted in the horizontal. The main floral bordure is embroidered with birds. The center field has embedded a typical hunting scene from this time. Chain-, ending- and pile yarn are entirely made of satin. The bridge is well suited as a wall decoration or on a not so busy place on the floor.

Schirwan SSL 5508

The Schirwan bridge is knotted in the southern part of the Caucasus. The material of the pile is pure new wool. It is a hard wool. The main bordure of the angular shaped cartouche is embroidered with helms and triangles. Further, the center piece is geometrically aligned.

Iran Beloutsch Sumak SSL 18193

This rug is knotted in the southern part of Iran. A very special characterisitic about this bridge is that it is constructed through two different techniques. The first part is knotted and the other is by weaving (also called the “Sumarktechnique”). With this special manufacturing technique a fascinating high-low optic can be observed. The main bordure is assemblied with peacocks and the center field shows an aligned batch of flowers.

Russian Buchara SST 6393

The Buchara carpets are all made of pure new wool. The round medaillons are so called „Güls“ and are tribe marks. Nearly the entire carpet is made by „Güldesigns“.The knotting is quite tight and fine. The weft and the warp threads are both made of wool. The wool is from fine quality and shiny. The traditional color oft the Buchara is red but the red is more brown than the red from the Afghan rug. The buchara rug is a very traditional piece.  You could already see it with nearly the same patterns on the Holbein paintings of the 15th century.

Iran Gabbeh SSL 17579

This carpet is knotted on a horizontal knotting loom. The wool is hand woven and is naturally dyed. The pile of this Gabbeh is high and was of service to the nomads as an isolating support for the cold and thus used often as a blanket. This is a very calm and modern carpet.
